| A message from Karen and Anna There has always been a great deal of co-operation between our archives, and the majority of Lancer authors had their stories on both sites. Since Karen hasn’t been able to update the Peter Brown site for several years now, and because privately hosted archives are inherently at risk of disappearance, we’ve worked together to preserve every story from the original site and mirror them either here or at LancerLovers, to make sure we don’t lose stories and that our history as a fandom is preserved. What that means is that this new version of the Lancer FanFiction archive hosts those authors and stories from the Peter Brown site which are not archived with LancerLovers. This archive will remain a separate entity from LancerLovers. The two archiving teams will work together to maintain both archives, with Sandy Sharp (SandySha) supporting Karen in managing this new site – which is now reopening to submissions. It’s a relief to both of us that between the two archives, we have preserved almost 3000 stories – and counting! Lancer is still an active and thriving fandom. Not bad, after more than 50 years, and a testament to its abiding appeal. Enjoy the archives, love the stories, and do remember to let the authors know how much you appreciate their work.
